A study permit is the document that lets you study at a designated institution in Canada. It is not an entry visa on its own: depending on your nationality you may also need a visitor visa or an electronic travel authorisation.

Check these first, because they decide whether a file can be submitted at all:
- Letter of acceptance from a designated learning institution (DLI)
- Proof you can cover tuition, living costs, and return travel
- Valid travel documents
- A provincial PAL or TAL letter where it applies
